Premature ejaculation treatment by Ayurveda

The term premature ejaculation refers to a process in which a man ejaculates in a few seconds right after penetration during sexual intercourse (1). It is has become a matter of concern for every man, as this disorder can cause anxiety (2),  distress, and even in severe cases, this problem can destroy marriages or relationships. According to the studies, almost 30 percent of people are affected by this disorder annually(3).

Currently, different treatment options are available to treat premature ejaculation but these treatment options were found costly or toxic or not effective at all. One of the effective treatments that have been discovered so far is Ayurveda. As we know Ayurvedic medicines are natural and with no side effects.

What could be more effective if you use a natural herbal supplement of zero toxicity and high efficacy!

From ancient civilizations, Ayurveda medicines are being used and they have been found not only effective in curing the disease but also prevents the recurrence of the disease. Ayurvedic treatment focuses on keeping the Vata and Pitta in check.

Premature ejaculation is a mixture of Vata and pitta. Vata is “wind” and is involved in the elevation of the sensitivity of touch in the penile area leading to early ejaculation while pitta is “warmth” and involved in the thinning of semen. The combination of these two results in premature ejaculation. Ayurveda’s line of medications and herbs focuses on these two culprits.

Ayurvedic line of treatment for early ejaculation involves “vrishya (aphrodisiacs), balya (tonics), vatahara (drugs/procedures which pacifies Vata dosha), Madhya (psychotropic drugs) and sukrastambhaka (drugs helpful to delay ejaculation) properties”. Vasti is an ideal choice for “Vata vikara’s or shukragata vita”, as it has been found effective for controlling Vata (4).

Research suggests that additional herbs like, “Erandamoola (Ricinus communis Linn.), Brahmi (Bacopa monnieri Linn), Mandukaparni (Centella asciatica Linn), Amlaki (Emblica officinalis Garten), Jatiphala (Myristica fragrans Houtt); compound formulations like Akarakarabhadi yoga, Rasayana Vati, Manasamitra vataka, Katphaladi kwatha; mineral compounds like Swarna bhasma (gold), Rasa sindhura (mercury-based formulations)” have found effective for the treatment of premature ejaculation(4).
