Project management is the planning and organization of projects which are done or will be done through the use of resources. Project management, at this point of time, cannot be separated into the traditional and independent field of project project management (PM) and one who just plans and organizes objectives, activities and resources at the guidance of a project team which might include other project team members (Porter, 2000). The current state and approach to project management has been in the past few decades interested in cost cutting, quality improvement and some other such techniques applied to project structures (pp. 10-12). However, the goal of any project and the method to be followed depends on the motivating force, the expectations and in which the boundaries are concerned. It also depends on the background of a project manager and the experience and administration (or the responsible person referred to as “ctor”). A more standardized approach that is used behind the scenes, starts with the definition or definition of the project and the scope of work identified and understood in the project.
The road from the project initiation to project success is leading to a project that is successful if all the scope and all the actions projected on it meet the expectations and all the deliverables are expected realistic and meet the deadline.
There can be no roles or degrees of authority or standardization in project management. Whether the ” assigner” for any particular subject of work or initiative are “superiors”, can be subjected to a different approach according to the conditions and the experiences level of the person. Within a team of project members ethical standards and speak of “fairness, honesty and trust” might be a priorities, but this does not have a strict definition. The goal of the selected techniques can be different – from the definition of the project or the project itself. The objective of every project may various class or designation of a group of human beings focused on certain project tasks. The practices of such classification might differ from one another. An example is choosing project manger or project administrator as a different compared to the work group in a project.
The roles and functions are very variable among the project members. Some might be assigned to more than one different project at the same time. Other difference might be in terms of up-and-down process visibility, or in terms the conflict or conflicts within the group ( interviewer problem). A group of individuals decide on the focus or scope of the project and no commitment is provided for it (Kuhn, 2000). Roles can focus on increasing the cost of the project and also the start-up cost of the project. All it hinges is that the level of authority and trust is there and a defined methodology and approach. There can always be choices corrected to these parameters which may have a very great impact on the final outcome and the process on the project.
Projects have now become tools in many firms, the environment and projects are dynamically changing process. Consequently, the modes of project management are changing. From manual to automatic management, systems monitoring and source code analysis systems are quick becoming the rage. The new procedures, methods and tools all have characteristic attributes. These attributes have been changing over time and some of the most important attributes to change over to the new procedures is the Bimbos, Pareto andGolden Rule. Pretty even, for the most part, of the company is trying to limit dependencies if any. Among all the attributes of the project pre-planning procedure the one that important and the one which influences project even more is project management knowledge. Seeing from this perspective it is of essential to search for some knowledge or experience on projects. It will bring-in a new difference in the way documents are written, talked about and the software program is operating.
Project management knowledge should contain more then industry specific information. It can never “normally” exist when one person has projects, and each day it is essential to make a list with all the resources required and other resources the projects need to manage.
Project is a dynamic process and the correct tools should be the one that can be used to capture and evaluate of the requirements and manage the process (Papers 4th edition, 2006).
