The sky is reopening for International Flights
Covid-19 has made us all sick, if not physically, then mentally. Almost everything was restricted, and we were forced to adhere to those restrictions whether we liked it or not. Due to the initial wave of the Pandemic, there were certain restrictions on air travel. To prevent the virus from spreading from one country to another, international flights were forbidden. Even if a person needed to travel urgently, they were barred from doing so. Many flights were canceled, and only a few were allowed to take to the skies.
Many countries, including the United Arab Emirates, had harsh restrictions in place at the time. However, as the risk of the disease is decreasing, the sky is getting reopened and it’s very good news for all of us. With the increasing number of flights, booking is getting simple, and getting a seat even at the last minute has become possible. Even countries like India have removed all the restrictions for International traveling and are allowing you to travel the world.
Measures and technology Airlines are using:
Vaccination or Test requirement
Although you can choose any location and get cheap International flight ticket deals, you should be aware that some destinations, including Belize, Canada, Cyprus, Fiji, and others, will require vaccination or a PCR test before departure. As a result, a person who has received both doses of vaccine is given precedence for travel. Keep in mind that, while the risk has lowered, it has not been fully eliminated. Before purchasing a ticket, you should review Covid-19’s safety and security policies.
Use of contactless technology
In the twenty-first century, web check-in, contactless payment choices, face recognition for boarding, self-bag drops, and other innovations have all gained popularity. This technology has made traveling more convenient for you while also saving you time. Contactless technology is an excellent choice for hygienic and safety reasons. This has become a pattern that will last indefinitely. You must, however, figure out which airlines offer you the maximum technology.

Recently, India announced that they are resuming International flights, come let’s have a look:
India has recently announced that they will resume all international flights booking after these two years of Pandemic. United Airlines as well as American Airlines have launched nonstop flights to Bangalore from the US. United Airlines’ SFO to BLR route and American Airlines’ Seattle to BLR route, which were both affected by the epidemic, are also going to reopen in May and October 2022, respectively. Emirates flights to India will gradually resume their pre-pandemic frequency following the government’s announcement that regular international civil flights will resume. Flights to Delhi and Mumbai have been doubled by Lufthansa and Swiss International Airlines. Lufthansa has also increased the number of flights to Bangalore and Chennai every week. On the other hand, Air Canada will offer 21 weekly round-trip flights from Canada to Delhi.
Further, Delta Carriers, Air France, Virgin Atlantic, and KLM are among the other international airlines that will resume their pre-pandemic schedules for India. Turkish Airlines have also started resuming service to India. Due to the Indian government’s decision to extend the ban on regular foreign travel, both inbound and outgoing, Turkish Airlines has repeatedly canceled its reservations for India. Kindly note that apart from Qatar Airways and Emirates, Turkish Airlines links Ahmedabad to 12 US cities. However, there is no price drop in the ticket pricing due to the increase in the fuel prices. Although the frequency of flights is also increasing, there are some chances of airfare dropping by 30-40% shortly according to some sources. Further, you can still opt OTAs platform to get cheap tickets to your desired location.
For Indian travelers, there are no airline-specific restrictions
For a long time during the outbreak, Indian passport holders were subjected to airline-specific boarding restrictions in India. British Airways, Air France, KLM, Lufthansa, and Virgin Atlantic, bound by a bilateral air bubble agreement with India, prohibited Indian passport holders from boarding aircraft in India since they were bound for destinations outside of Europe. Only US residents and/or their wives were permitted to travel from Europe to the United States. Most European airlines, except for British Airways, have recently loosened the prohibition, according to travelers holding Indian passports.
Did you know that even Russia is restarting its services for International flights?
After April 9, Russia intends to resume international flight services to and from 52 nations. The country will resume flight services to and from Argentina, South Africa, and other ‘friendly countries,’ (those countries that have not joined the latest round of Western sanctions against Moscow over its invasion of Ukraine) China, Algeria, Peru, Lebanon, and Pakistan will be among the nations with whom Russia will resume flights. The travel restrictions between Russia and China would be lifted. Although Russia has banned flights in response to the Russia-Ukraine war, they have now lifted the entire ban on International flights and you are free to have flights to and from Russia now.
Things to keep in Mind before International traveling:
- Restrict yourself from traveling if you find your report positive.

- Book in advance to get the cheapest flights
- Use OTAs platforms if you are not familiar with which airline to choose yourself and get some best deals.
- Use prepaid contactless methods to reserve your seats and use a web check-in feature so that you don’t have to spend your time in a long queue.
