Sedan Cars are usually reliable, spacious inside, and can accommodate five people with ease. If you’re planning on upgrading your current car, it’s very likely that you’ll consider one of these Top 10 Sedan Cars in 2021.
#10 – Chevrolet Malibu
The Chevrolet Malibu is set for release around the year 2020. The new model will compete with other Sedans such as Mazda 6 Sedan and Audi A3 Sedan.
1970s style will be back into fashion when it comes to exterior design. Expect sleek lines and rounded edges that were popular during this time period.
Inside, instead of four separate seats, the car will only have two seats that run front to back. This is still enough of a seating arrangement for five people though.
#9 – Nissan Sentra Sedan
The Sedan version of Nissan’s popular compact car sees more changes than the standard hatchback model.
The exterior design resembles an evolution of what has already been seen with the current generation of this vehicle. It looks modern and sporty while remaining recognizable as part of the Sentra family.
Inside, you’ll find six individual seats in total, split between three sections across two rows. Even with all those seats fitted inside, there’s still a good amount of legroom available throughout. In fact, both rear passengers will enjoy plenty of legroom.
#8 – Lexus ES Sedan
The current generation of the ES Sedan was launched in 2013, so it’s due for a replacement sometime soon. The new model will go head-to-head with other luxury Sedans such as Infiniti Q70 Sedan and Acura TLX Sedan.
Exterior design should be sharper than before thanks to the use of sharp edges all over the bodywork. This gives it a more aggressive look that separates it from its predecessor while still retaining Lexus’ signature grille upfront.
Expect high-quality interior materials too, because this is how premium manufacturers compete against each other.
#7 – Ford Taurus Sedan
Ford’s full-size Sedan returns after nearly two decades of absence. It will go up against other Sedans such as Volkswagen Passat Sedan
The new model is expected to be based on the same platform as the recently released 2020 Ford Explorer SUV.
As a result, it should share many of its characteristics with its SUV stablemate, but hopefully without some of the drawbacks that come with an SUV.
That means room for five adults and cargo space at the back, similar to what you’d expect from a traditional Sedan.
#6 – Kia Stinger GT4
This four-door Sedan version of Kia’s Stinger sports car is set for release sometime within 2021. It will compete against Sedans such as BMW M3 Sedan and Audi RS5 Sedan.
Exterior design draws heavily from the Stinger Sedan. As a result, the GT4 looks much like its two-door sibling with four doors, but there are slight differences all around.
The front end is similar to what you’ll find on the Stinger Sedan, but it’s actually much larger than before. That’s because there’s no longer an engine up front that requires plenty of space for cooling purposes.
This means that there are now slim headlights that extend into the fenders on each side of the car. There are also standard rear-hinged back doors instead of conventional ones found in most sports cars.
#5 – Hyundai Sonata Sedan
The current generation of the Sonata Sedan was introduced in 2015. As a result, it’s due for replacement sometime soon. The Sedan will go up against other Sedans such as Toyota Camry Sedan and Kia Optima Sedan.
Exterior design is evolutionary rather than revolutionary. As a result, the 2021 version of this car should look similar to today’s model, albeit with more modern touches all around.
Expect new design elements on the front end, new headlights and taillights, revised side panels complete with redesigned mirrors, and new alloy wheel options too.
The interior is expected also to see some revisions that bring it closer in line with recent Hyundai releases.
#4 – Hyundai Palisade Sedan
This is the full-size Sedan that’s expected to bring some major changes to the market in 2021. It will go up against cars such as Volkswagen Phaeton Sedan and Tesla Model S Sedan.
It all starts with a choice of three different engines, including two gas-fed units and one hybrid version. The turbocharged 2.0L engine makes 252 horsepower while the larger 3.5L unit delivers 382 hp.
Finally, there’s an all new plug-in hybrid powertrain that combines the former system with an electric motor rated at 181 hp for a total output of 400 hp on tap. All these are mated to nine-speed automatic transmissions with either front or all-wheel drive.
#3 – Aston Martin Lagonda Sedan
Aston’s Sedan is everything but conventional, which you can tell by looking at its exterior. It will be available in 2021 and will compete against other Sedans such as Bentley Continental Sedan and Rolls Royce Cullinan Sedan.Exterior design is heavily inspired by the Vision Concept that was released a few years ago.
That means it’s big on sharp edges, slim headlights with LED accents, unique tail lights with horizontal elements, massive alloy wheels wrapped around large brake discs, silver side vents for better engine cooling, roof-mounted air intake complete with vertical bars, and redesigned rear end with a black panel that hides the Sedan’s engine.
#2 – Mercedes-Benz S-Class Sedan
Mercedes-Benz S-Class Sedan was released back in 2013. As a result, it’s due for replacement within 2021. It will compete against Sedans such as Audi A8 Sedan and BMW 7 Series Sedan.
Exterior design is evolutionary rather than revolutionary, but there are still some changes worth mentioning.
For example, all models now come with newly redesigned taillights complete with horizontal elements, new alloy wheel options ranging from 19 inches to 22 inches depending on each trim level, larger air intakes at the front end for better engine cooling, newly shaped side skirts on lower trims, and revised rear end with revised exhaust tips at the back.
#1 – Lexus LS Sedan
These Sedan Cars is expected to arrive in 2021 and will compete against cars such as the Audi A7 Sedan. It’s not quite clear what changes are in store for this car, but it shouldn’t be too different from current models.
If this is true, then expect it to come with redesigned headlights that feature new accents, a grille with vertical bars that extend into the bumpers on either side of the grille, and a three-dimensional mesh pattern for its lower front end design element.
It will have a slightly reshaped trunk lid with new taillights at the back end, restyled alloy wheel options varying from 17 to 21 inches depending on each trim level, and a redesigned interior with two LCD screens at the center console.
